110.33 Call Back Program for Chief Officers
PURPOSE:
To provide criteria for the Fire Department Chief Officer or their designee to call back personnel (hire overtime) to staff additional apparatus in the event of a natural or manmade incident which reduces the department’s available units.
Procedure:
- The Chief Officer will determine, as quickly as possible, if the duration of the incident and the lack of available units will exist longer than one hour.
- If it is deemed to be a prolonged incident, the Chief Officer will initiate a call back of necessary personnel using CrewSense.
- Information on the specifics of the call back will be provided on the CrewSense notification.
- In accordance with SOG 110.23 Staffing & Overtime, the six hour rule applies to this SOG.
