Section 1 - ADMINISTRATIVE
110.22 Personnel Administration
PURPOSE:
The purpose of this guideline is to set forth the aspects of personnel administration to be in compliance with local, State and National requirements.
PROCEDURE:
- Fire Rescue personnel are expected to comply with provisions of the City’s Personnel Policy and Procedures Manual, the Fire Rescue Department’s Standard Operating Guidelines (SOGs) and/or the current Collective Bargaining Agreement
between the Maitland Professional Firefighters, Local 3590 and the City of Maitland as appropriate.
- Fair and equitable treatment of all employees will be maintained by fair administration of these policies and procedures and by consideration of the rights and interests of the citizens and the City.
- The City of Maitland is an equal opportunity employer.
- The relationship between City management and its employees shall continue to be open and direct.
- The policies and procedures provide a means for equitable recruitment, selection, development, retention and eventual retirement of employees.
- A charge of the Fire Rescue Department and the City of Maitland is to comply with all local, State and National laws and requirements in the course of operations.
