220.25 EMS Performance Measures
PURPOSE:
Provide guidance for establishing, maintaining, and assessing the effectiveness of the Departments EMS services.
PROCEDURE:
- Establishing EMS Performance Measures
- The EMS group of the Maitland Fire Rescue Department (Deputy Chief and EMS Battalion Chief) shall select specific areas to assess the performance levels of the system.
- Maintaining the EMS performance Measures
- The EMS group of the Maitland Fire Rescue Department shall maintain the process by establishing new Performance Measures annually
- Assessing the effectiveness of the Departments EMS service
- The information obtained from the analysis of the data helps Professional Standards Personnel determine training needs and helps shape the continuing education planning for each year.
