Section 1 - ADMINISTRATIVE
130.04 Occupational Health & Safety Program
PURPOSE:
To provide a guideline consistent with federal, state and city regulations as set forth by the Florida State Fire Marshal’s Office Florida Administrative Code 69A-62 authorized by F.S. 633.821 that provides for adequate and consistent safeguards for firefighter occupational health and safety.
PROCEDURE:
- All employees of the Maitland Fire Department shall comply with the safeguards set forth in this guideline and its references unless otherwise exempted.
- All regulations of Florida Statute 633, Florida Administrative Code 69A-62, and Maitland City Code are herein adopted by reference and include, but may not be limited to:
- Uniform minimum firefighter employment standards
- Workplace safety and health programs
- Safety and health compliance
- Workplace safety committees
- There is herein created the fire department’s safety committee that shall meet as directed by the department and include the provisions of the City’s safety management program as found on the Maitranet
