Section 9 - Procedure Guidelines
9.35 MEDICATION TEMPERATURE CONTROL
INDICATIONS:
- All medications must be temperature controlled. Using the TempStick temperature monitoring device will provide instantaneous measurements of the stored medications and send instant notifications if the temperature rises or falls below a defined temperature range.
PROCEDURE
- If at anytime an alarm is triggered due to exceeding the designated medication temperature ranges (35 degrees and 85 degrees), a notification will be sent to all EMS Officers and immediate actions will take place to fix the temperature issue.
